SEX THERAPY

SEX THERAPY

There are many reasons that a couple or individual may be having sexual problems ranging from medical problems to difficulty in communicating about their sexual needs and preferences.  Also, many clients in long-term relationships experience slumps in their sexual relationships and may need help getting out of a rut.  Although it can be difficult to talk about these issues, there is help for you and your partner.  Common problems I see in couples and individual therapy are premature ejaculation, erectile dysfunction, past trauma interfering with sexual pleasure, low desire for sex, relationship problems getting in the way of a fulfilling sex life, or finding oneself in a sexual rut in their relationship.

I work with individuals and couples to assess what problem(s) may be that is getting in the way of sexual fulfillment, understanding sexual needs and sexual functioning, and communicating this and working this through with a sexual partner.  I know it can be hard to talk about sexual problems as you may feel embarrassed or ashamed, so I try to create a comfortable, nonjudgemental atmosphere to discuss your current problems.  I also work with individuals who are having sexual difficulties or obsessions or compulsions that may be causing them difficulties in their life.  In my work with clients, I want to help my clients get back on track with their sex life, and to go beyond a good enough sex life, to go on to have a great sex life.

To make an appointment for an assessment and/or discuss recommendations for treatment, call  (415) 686-9544 or email [email protected]  I have offices in San Francisco and Corte Madera and provide phone and/or web sessions for clients who can not come to the office.
