  FOR TEENS

ISSUES TREATED IN TEEN THERAPY

Are you dealing with something difficult?  Need help?  Therapy can help you deal with difficult feelings, problems with relationships, and/or problems in your family.  It can be scary to start therapy and seek help for your problems, but often it can make a world of a difference.  I've been working with teenagers since 1998 and have helped many teens who were dealing with anxiety, depression, problems with friends, school stress, the loss of a loved one, parents that were giving them a hard time, divorce, and other pretty difficult issues like feeling suicidal, cutting, or trauma like rape or molestation.  You don't have to continue suffering.  Therapy can help.  Many teenagers feel like nothing can change their family situation when things are bad, but I can tell you that I have had lots of success with making things better.

Therapy is a place where you can talk about your problems in a confidential atmosphere.  That means that what you say to me stays private and is not shared with your parents or anyone else*.  I can help you figure out what to do about your problems and help your family to be helpful rather than make things worse.  Sometimes, I have teenagers bring their friends in for a session to be a source of support or information in the therapy process.

To make an appointment for an assessment and/or discuss recommendations for treatment, call  (415) 686-9544 or email drkeith@drkeithsutton.com  I have offices in San Francisco and Corte Madera and provide phone and/or web sessions for clients who can not come to the office.
