BULLYING

BULLYING

Getting messed with, picked on, teased, or beat up can cause a lot of difficulties such as anxiety, difficulty with anger management, depression, poor school performance, or other problems.  These symptoms can be problematic for those who bully others as well.  My graduate school research was focused on bullying problems in schools.  I conducted research with middle school students to gain a greater understanding of problems related to bullying.  Bullying takes place at all ages and even in the workforce with adults, but children and adults don't have to continue dealing with these problems.  There is help.

I work with clients to understand why the bullying might be occurring, help them to develop skills to deal with bullying or to stop bullying others, and to create change in their environment (e.g., school, work, family) to put an end to the bullying.

To make an appointment for an assessment and/or discuss recommendations for treatment, call  (415) 686-9544 or email drkeith@drkeithsutton.com  I have offices in San Francisco and Corte Madera and provide phone and/or web sessions for clients who can not come to the office.
