Collaborative Consultation Group
The Collaborative Consultation Group is made up of early career psychologists.  We all work with children and families and have training in various theoretical backgrounds such as Narrative Therapy, Strategic Family Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, Structural Therapy, Multidimensional Family Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Schema Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy.  We meet monthly on the second weekend of the month (Thursday 7-9, Friday 7-9, Sat 11-1, or Mon 7-9) at various members' homes or offices.  Every other month we consult amongst each other and the other months we hire consultants to consult on cases.  The group costs $40 every other month to be a member.  If you are interested in joining this group, email me at drkeith@drkeithsutton.com or call me at (415) 686-9544.

W. Keith Sutton, PsyD - Dr. Sutton works with adolescents and their families, couples, individual adults, and provides neuropsychological assessments.  He treats issues of substance abuse, defiant behavior, depression, anxiety, and other mental health problems.  He has worked with adolescents, families, couples, and adults since 1998 in shelters, a residential treatment program, a drug and alcohol outpatient program, within the schools, in community clinics, and in private practice.  He received his doctorate from the California School of Professional Psychology and currently has a private practice providing psychotherapy and psychological assessment in San Rafael and San Francisco.  Dr. Sutton uses his directness and sense of humor to work collaboratively with clients to help them overcome their difficulties and utilize their strengths for success.  He has trained in Strategic Family Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Brief Strategic Family Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, EMDR, Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Exposure with Response Prevention, and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy.  He is currently the president of the Association of Family Therapists of Northern California, the co-founder of the Bay Area Therapists Specializing in Adolescents, the director of the Institute for the Advancement of Psychotherapy, and part of the Bay Area Oppositional and Conduct Disorder Clinic.     

Shawn V. Giammattei, PhD - Dr. Giammattei is a narratively informed, culturally sensitive, integrative psychologist who works collaboratively with families, adolescents, adults, and couples to help find solutions to the problems that are negatively impacting their lives and relationships. Dr. Giammattei received his doctorate from the California School of Professional Psychology in San Francisco and trained in community family therapy clinics in San Francisco and Pinole. He completed a two year post-doctoral residency at Kaiser Permanente in Santa Rosa in both adult and child/family psychiatry. Dr. Giammattei is currently the Coordinator of Training and a Research Associate at the Rockway Institute in San Francisco as well as an Adjunct Professor at both Argosy and Alliant International University.  He is council member of the Association of Family Therapists of Northern California, an early career council member of the American Family Therapy Academy, and a member of the World Association for Transgender Health. Dr. Giammattei currently maintains a private practice in San Francisco and Santa Rosa, CA, specializing in the treatment of gender identity issues in children, adolescents and adults, couple and family issues, anxiety disorders (OCD, Panic, PTSD), eating disorders, ADHD, and parenting issues. He is well versed in Narrative and Family Systems Therapies, Mindfulness based approaches, LGBT Affirmative therapies, EMDR, Exposure/Cognitive-Behavioral Therapies, and has received extensive training in Brief Strategic/Structural Family Therapy,  Dialectical Behavior Therapy,  Motivational Interviewing, Schema Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy.  http://www.questfamilies.com/  

Dr. Sarah Villarreal, Psy.D. is a licensed psychologist with two areas of specialty: 1) children/adolescents and 2) adult women.  She has over ten years of experience working with children and adolescents.  Her approach includes cognitive behavioral techniques focusing on emotional coping skills, behavioral control, social skills, and an understanding of behaviors and patters.  Dr. Villarreal helps to identify life goals and develop goal-oriented behaviors.  She specializes in helping individuals with Depression, Anxiety, PDD Spectrum Disorders (including Asperger's Disorder), and attentional problems (ADD/ADHD).  Dr. Sarah Villarreal also works with adult women.  She provides individual therapy through a collaborative process using cognitive behavioral and intepersonal therapies.  Dr. Villarreal places much importance and value in identifying  interpersonal patterns, so that her clients are able to understand them and move forward to make the changes that they want in their life.  She also uses life-coaching to help identify life goals and guide you toward achieveing them.   www.entelechywellness.com


Meghan Harris, Psy.D. is a licensed psychologist who speciaizes in treating children and adolescents.  Her main areas of interest include the treatment of young people who are coping with acute or chronic illness, and adolescents who have self-injurious behaviors.  Dr. Harris has worked with people of all ages who show signs of depression or anxiety, or who are coping with trauma, post-traumatic stress, loss or abuse.  In the therapeutic relationship, Dr. Harris' style is warm and flexible, tailoring sessions to the client's needs, using talk therapy, family interventions, play therapy and art therapy.  While she approaches each client as a unique individual, she works closely with family members of children and adolescents in facilitating change.
